Our Terms & Conditions

  • We have nothing to hide. Of course, some aspects of our cooperation need to be addressed, because you may also want to know what e.g. in the case of deadline, cancellations or unpredictable situations is possible and what to do.
  • Note on gender wording: In all designations that refer to persons, the chosen wording addresses all gender forms, even if the masculine form is used for ease of reading.
  • Here you will find our “rules” for language learning at inlingua Salzburg:
  1. Validity The following general terms and conditions apply to all contracts for the provision of individual or group language lessons to our customers. They also apply to future bookings.
  2. Registration The inlingua language school Salzburg only accepts registrations, re-bookings and cancellations of a language course in writing (also by fax, e-mail or in person). Every registration is binding.
  3. Teaching Classes are held according to the inlingua method. One lesson lasts 45 minutes. The lessons will be held at the agreed times. Compensation for missed hours will not be granted. This also applies to illness and other disabilities that do not fall within the sphere of the school. The school reserves the right to take appropriate measures if a participant disrupts the smooth running of the course, for example through frequent absences without follow-up or extremely disruptive behavior.
  4. Withdrawal The contract can be withdrawn without giving reasons free of charge up to 14 days after the signing of the contract (according to Section 11 of the FAAG Fernabsatzgesetz).
  5. Course fee The course fee must be paid no later than 3 weeks before the start of the course. If the course is booked less than 3 weeks before the start of the course, the total amount is due immediately. The price of the course includes the placement of the course participant, the registration fee and a course confirmation. The inlingua language school in Salzburg is exempt from VAT. Payment must be made via bank transfer or in cash. All bank charges must be carried by the student.
  6. Group lessons/course guarantee: The number of participants in a group course consists of three to a maximum of 8 people. German group courses: If there are only two registrations for the corresponding language level, the number of teaching hours is reduced by a third, or by half if there is only one registration. Group courses for other languages: If the minimum number of 3 participants is not reached, you can choose between TOP training (a third of the paid group units can be consumed in individual lessons), course postponement or reimbursement of the course fee paid. In any case, the group course participant is obliged to pay the agreed course fee for the duration of the course, even in the event of early withdrawal and regardless of his participation in the course. Group lessons cannot be canceled by the course participant, nor can missed lessons be replaced. Minimum age for general group courses: 16 years
  7. Individual lessons The participant schedules his timetable in agreement with the inlingua office. Cancellations or postponements can only be considered up to 4:00 p.m. of the previous day (for Monday at the latest by 4:00 p.m. on Friday), otherwise these scheduled hours are charged. Individual hours remain valid for 3 years, the lesson hours not used up to then are lost.
  8. Data protection All personal information of the participants will be treated confidentially. The data will not be passed on to third parties and will only be used for internal inlingua Salzburg purposes for targeted customer information. Data is routinely deleted after 7 years. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies.
  9. Place of jurisdiction for companies: Salzburg. The place of jurisdiction for individual students is the place of residence of the individual (according to § 14 KSchG).
