Information for German course – Special quota
At present, many people come from war zones, especially from Syria to Austria. In order to
support refugees, who availed asylum in Austria, The Ministry of European, Integration and
Foreign affairs ( BMEIA ) offers an additional quota to promote those people in the best way
with their rapid linguistic integration. This special allotment shall be extended to them by the
Austrian Integrationsfonds (ÖIF), which will gives counselling appointment and also will
accepts applications.
Who will be granted?
People entitled to asylum (Asylberechtigte): within 3 years of positive asylum
(Should already have been granted subsidiary protection before granting asylum,
within 3 years after the initial granting of subsidiary protection)
Subsidiary protection (Subsidiär Schutzberechtigte): within 3 years after the
initial granting of subsidiary protection
Which language course levels are granted?
Alphabetization, A1 and A2
What amount will be granted?
€ 750,- per Level would be provided as a maximum amount
This refund matches exactly the course price for level A1 or A2,
you only need to carry the costs for the book (€ 38,-).

How can I apply for a facilitation?
Please call us at our hotline number and fix an appointment for personal counselling.
On the allocated counselling date, you will receive important information about living
in Austria, Integration offers, and contact points as well for your integration process.
You can apply for the language course of ÖIF.
Application for German language course must be applied for at least 3 weeks before
the start of the German course at the Welcome desk and can only be requested in
writing during the counselling session.
For application you need:
People entitled to asylum: Asylum decision (Asylbescheid) and convention passport
People with subsidiary protection: asylum decision (Asylbescheid) and valid subsidiary protection card
Residence Registration (Meldezettel)
Estimate (Quotation) of a course from inlingua
if available: AMS-appointment Card
